Quarantine is a 2008 Horror Sci-Fi film released on 10th October; John Erick Dowdle directed the film which stars Jennifer Carpenter, Rade Serbedzija, and Jay Hernandez. A sequel, Quarantine 2: Terminal, was released in 2011. It is a remake/reboot of the 2007 film [REC]. The film was a box office success, earning a profit of $28,855,419 on its budget.
A television reporter and her cameraman are trapped inside a building quarantined by the CDC after the outbreak of a mysterious virus which turns humans into bloodthirsty killers.
