For Sunday 5th September, 2021

A triple bill of fun and entertaining popcorn flicks for a chilled Sunday filmfest!

3. Weird Science (1985)

It's hard to pick just one from John Hughes' prime career period, but Weird Science is a great film for a Sunday afternoon. Filled with a stellar cast including Bill Paxton, Robert Downey Jr. and regular Hughes cast member Anthony Michael Hall it's full of fun, friendship, comedy and romance to make an entertaining watch that's perfect for a Sunday on the sofa.

2. Death Becomes Her (1992)

A personal favourite and absolute classic that's entertaining from the first minute to the last. Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep are fantastic and supported brilliantly by Bruce Willis. A tale about the quest for eternal beauty and youth fueled by vanity, jealousy, envy, romantic rivalry and the havoc they all wreak. Pure Sunday entertainment.

1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)

Continuing the classic films for this Sunday I've gone with one of the most popular live-action animation films ever made (and due for a sequel in 2022). It's whacky, fun, was ahead of its time, and features some of the most recognisable cartoon characters from film and television. Sit back and enjoy the craziness of Toon Town.
